Broekpolder Orakel

Broekpolder Orakel is an online digital art project for the Broekpolder, a new housing development near Beverwijk and Heemskerk. The artwork initiates a dialogue with the villagers of the Broekpolder. A dialogue at a different level of hope, expectations and dreams. The virtual world grows by interacting with its villagers and gives.

It is mostly referred to as a game but from my perspective it isn’t. I haven’t found a specific name for this genre but refer to it as an ‘online multiuser experience’.

The project was available through the website http://www.kunstinbroekpolder.nl until somewhere 2008.
